O My God: More Than an Expression
We say “OMG” without thinking. But in Scripture, “O my God” was never an empty expression.
Today, “Oh my God” is often used as an exclamation of surprise, excitement, or frustration.
The biblical “O my God” is different. It is a direct and personal address to God.
These words are intentional.
They are reverent.
They turn the heart toward God.
“O my God” is not merely an expression. It is a prayer.
