21 DAYS OF FASTING & PRAYER

Jan. 13 to Feb. 2

We will close the fast with communion on Sunday, February 2 during the 12:30 pm Sunday service.

“I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.”

— Daniel 10:3

WHAT IS THE DANIEL FAST?

The Daniel Fast is a partial fast. It is based on the fasting experiences of Daniel, from the Old Testament. Daniel and his companions were captured in Israel by the Babylonians, under King Nebuchadnezzar’s rule. These men were groomed to take on administrative responsibilities for the King, so they were treated better than typical prisoners. Daniel was a man of deep faith and was devoted to God. When offered food and wine, he requested a different meal.

WHY SHOULD I FAST?

According to the Bible, there are three duties of every Christian: 1. give 2. pray 3. fast.

  • Are you in need of healing or a miracle?

  • Is there a dream inside you that only He can make possible?

  • Are you in need of a fresh encounter?

  • Do you desire a deeper, more intimate, and powerful relationship with the Lord?

  • Do you need to break away from bondages that have been holding you hostage?

  • Is there a friend or loved one that needs Salvation?
